Where: Lower Sacramento River (Redding, CA)
Fishing report: March 25, 2009: Lower Sac by Andrew Harris
Guide service for the first day is pricey, but local knowledge can be worth it for the trip. The Sacramento River flows right through downtown Redding - amazing. I know where I'd be during my lunch break.

Fishing Report: Rapidan River, Shenandoah National Park, VA
Where:
Rapidan River, Shenandoah National Park, VA
For:
Brook Trout
What We Caught:
Lots o Wild Brookies
What We Learned:
These are cool little fish and taking them on the lightest rod or nearest tree branch is fun. Don't forget the 7x tippet and a few extra "Mr. Rapidan" flies.
Enjoy the fishing - it is world class for Brookies. President Herbert Hoover enjoyed it so much he built camp Rapidan at the confluence of the two creeks that creates the river.
